Embracing technology at Everton鈥檚 Hill Dickinson Stadium
Since 2017, 海角视频 has been engaged to provide 16 key disciplines for the stadium, including our technology strategy, design and delivery capabilities.
After nearly a decade of design and development, Hill Dickinson Stadium stands as a beacon of innovation among leading football venues. It is a multi-purpose destination that transforms the club’s stadium into a vibrant community venue for every day, not just match days. From the outset, Everton FC embraced cutting-edge technology to deepen fan engagement, offer personalised experiences, modernise operations and support a sustainable, community-focused future.
Since 2017, 海角视频 has been engaged to provide 16 key disciplines for the stadium, including our technology strategy, design and delivery capabilities.
Beyond the main stadium delivery with Laing O鈥橰ourke, the club retained our advisory team, with AV and production experts in Vanguardia and wireless expert sub-consultants Real Wireless, to support broader digital strategy and client direct technology delivery. 鈥

Creating a frictionless and personalised venue experience
From the earliest concept stages, the stadium was designed with a sharp focus on user experience. Our technology strategy began in 2017, working closely with the club to map the journeys of key user groups 鈥 fans, visitors, and operational staff 鈥 ensuring alignment with Everton鈥檚 strong emphasis on fan connection.
Throughout each journey, we identified and integrated technology touchpoints that enhance the experience, while being careful to avoid unnecessary digital distractions.
Before arrival, digital services support planning and preparation, making it easier to book tickets, arrange travel, and build excitement.
On arrival, frictionless access is enabled through digital ticketing, automated entry systems for pedestrians and vehicles, and high-throughput security scanning. These systems, combined with crowd flow modelling, ensure quick and efficient entry and exit.
Inside the stadium, navigation is intuitive thanks to clear signage, digital wayfinding, and a knowledgeable stewarding team. Interactive maps and location-based services further help visitors find seats, concessions, and facilities with ease.
Partnering with Aramark, Everton delivers a modern food and beverage experience. Fans can choose from traditional concession stands, fully automated units, self-service kiosks, or order via the club app for quick collection 鈥 minimising queues and maximising convenience.

Personalisation continues with exclusive content, brand activations, and merchandise offers tailored to different types of supporters 鈥 whether traditional or consumer-oriented 鈥 strengthening the emotional bond between fans and the club.
The stadium bowl itself is designed to amplify atmosphere, combining architectural form with LED displays and integrated broadcast capabilities. High-speed Wi-Fi and mobile connectivity extend the digital experience, enabling fans to access club services anytime, anywhere.
A headquarters for producing and showcasing content
To extend the experience to remote audiences, Everton is leveraging evolving media rights and broadcast innovations. The new stadium is equipped with state-of-the-art production facilities 鈥 including studios, a video gallery, and flexible event spaces 鈥 allowing club and fan-generated content to be distributed across concourses, hospitality areas, external and bowl LEDs, and online, via EvertonTV.
Enabling multi-channel brand activations
Everton鈥檚 new home also serves as a hub for brand engagement. High-definition screens and digital signage enable targeted advertising and interactive campaigns. Brands can connect with fans through social media integrations, live streaming, and immersive content created on-site.
Real-time data analytics support responsive marketing strategies, ensuring campaigns are both impactful and aligned with audience preferences.

Sustainable venue operations
Sustainability is central to the stadium鈥檚 design and operations. Backed by our sustainability performance tracker, the venue incorporates eco-friendly materials, roof-mounted solar panels, and early adoption of stadium-scale battery storage solutions to reduce its carbon footprint. Smart building controls and water monitoring further enhance its green credentials.
Winning solutions
Hill Dickinson Stadium is more than a football ground; it is a symbol of diversification, technological progress, and sustainable development. By improving venue utilisation, delighting fans with personalised experiences, enabling multi-channel brand activations, and committing to sustainable operations, the stadium sets a new standard for modern venues.
Its location within Liverpool Waters and proximity to the Ten Streets creative hub positions the Hill Dickinson Stadium as a catalyst for urban regeneration, innovation, and community engagement.
In their pursuit of one of the most atmospheric venues in world football, Everton FC and its supporters have embraced technology with a forward-looking attitude 鈥 one that benefits people, place, planet, and prosperity.
