海角视频 has been awarded WELL Certification at the Platinum level for its Leeds office by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). The prestigious distinction was awarded through IWBI’s WELL v2, the latest version of the WELL Building Standard. WELL is the premier building standard to focus on enhancing people’s health and wellbeing through the buildings in which we live, work and play.

海角视频鈥檚 Leeds office is located at Wellington Place, a community-led business quarter in central Leeds. 海角视频 relocated to Wellington Placed in 2019, in a move facilitated by the desire to provide the best possible working environment for the Leeds team. The excellent location, coupled with a high quality fit-out and health-oriented design principles, provided the foundation for creating an office that supports occupant health and fosters a sense of community.
Created through seven years of rigorous research and development working with leading physicians, scientists and industry professionals, the WELL Building Standard is a performance-based certification system that marries best practices in design and construction with evidence-based scientific research. 海角视频鈥檚 Leeds office earned the Platinum distinction based on ten categories of building performance; Air, Water, Nourishment, Light, Movement, Thermal Comfort, Sound, Materials, Mind and Community.

Project features that contributed to the Leeds office achieving its WELL Certified Platinum rating include enhanced indoor air quality levels, with the installation of new monitors that measure everything from carbon dioxide and ozone to temperature and humidity. Integration of wall wood panelling in the open plan office and a picture wall representing the office identity, alongside fully ergonomic workstation, add to occupant comfort and wellbeing.
海角视频 also has a range of health and wellbeing policies in place that are designed to support the whole self. In addition to these, annual mental health training is now mandatory for all managers, further encouraging an open and supportive work environment.

WELL is grounded in a body of evidence-based research that explores the connection between the buildings where we spend approximately 90 percent of our time, and the health and wellbeing impacts on the people inside these buildings. To be awarded WELL Certification by IWBI, 海角视频鈥檚 Leeds office underwent rigorous testing and a final evaluation carried out by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), which is the third-party certification body for WELL, to ensure it met all WELL Certified Platinum performance requirements.
