海角视频

Welcome to the Re:boot 鈥 how 海角视频 empowers clients as they revitalise the UK through the built environment.

Never before have our built assets been under such pressure. Look around and you鈥檒l see huge numbers of buildings lying vacant, from offices to museums, shops to galleries, leisure centres and tourist destinations.

In post-Covid Britain, some structures will regain their purpose, but there will be many that remain redundant and unloved.

Enter, The Re:boot – an ongoing programme that empowers clients and project collaborators as they tackle a range of topics at the core of how the built environment can reenergise the UK economy  – including retrofit, refurbishment, repurpose and reuse, regeneration and redevelopment and new build, or a combination.

We know that some sectors are thriving. Distribution, food retail, online retail and pharmaceutical medicine are all doing well. There are variances in economic performance across regions too 鈥 some have been moderately affected and others are struggling with growing unemployment and severely depressed local economies.

In this programme, we hear from some of the UK鈥檚 leading engineering, advisory and consultancy experts on how repurposing and reusing our built environment can re-energise the UK economy. Our sustainability team will help clients understand how decarbonization, the circular economy and embodied carbon play a principal role in how Britain can 鈥渂uild back better鈥.

Engineering design technology and the digitisation of the built environment are accelerating decision-making and lowering risk across our industry. The Re:boot programme supports clients and collaborators as they navigate this shift, looking at how it reduces uncertainty, increases resilience, and delivers better, safer and more people-centric buildings.

Reimaging and reinventing buildings and spaces is of vital importance to the UK鈥檚 recovery. How we do it is the most important question in the built environment right now. Join us as we aim to understand and share insight into how, by redeveloping our environment, we revitalise the UK economy, facilitate social value and safeguard the climate.

We aspire to create delightful, iconic assets, through reuse and reinvention to complement new build.

Welcome to the Re:boot

As an engineer, I have spent much of my professional life working on new build projects, helping clients realise their vision. However, the 21st century challenge of climate change, and our united purpose to work towards a net zero future are causing us all to think differently.

We aspire to create delightful, iconic assets, through reuse and reinvention to complement new build. 海角视频 are committed to focussing on people-centred design for health, wellbeing and productivity, using data and insights to ensure that a refurbished asset, exceeding the latest design requirements is as unique and inspiring to its new occupants as any new build, but with a significantly lower embodied and in-use carbon.

Rebuilding, repurposing and refitting existing assets will help us meet our net zero targets more quickly鈥mbrace the new challenge, for the good of our planet and its people.

鈥 Dr Sarah Prichard, UK Managing Director and Partner.
