Advisory, Higher education consulting, Strategy and operating model design advisory

New York University鈥檚 Instructional Technology (NYU IT) group engaged 海角视频 to help shape two new cutting-edge maker spaces – LaGuardia Studio and LaGuardia Technology Center.

Our advisory team conducted a needs assessment, developed the brand, designed the service model, and trained the staff to ensure the future success of both facilities.

NYU’s Student Technology Centers are designed for students to connect and collaborate through technology resources, providing computer workstations, collaboration space, and other resources.聽

Challenge

Complementing architecture firm Gensler, 海角视频’s strategy and operating model design team helped NYU make the most of a unique opportunity to create visible and visionary spaces with the technology, services, and staffing to match.

海角视频 conducted a needs assessment to develop NYU’s service model and found that 93% of students reported they were satisfied or very satisfied with the technology. Image: 海角视频.

Solution

Both spaces opened in 2015 and have been big hits since. LaGuardia Student Technology Center is a place for students to 鈥渃onnect and create鈥濃 to collaborate, learn, and interact with technology and with each other in new ways.

The LaGuardia Studio, is a state-of-the-art facility for the NYU community to 鈥渇orm and fabricate鈥 2D and 3D objects through 3d printing and scanning.

Value

In a post-occupancy evaluation of the Co-op, our experts found that over 93% of students reported they were satisfied or very satisfied with the technology, 89% were satisfied with the space, and 72% were satisfied or very satisfied with staff.

brightspot (now 海角视频) helped us understand what our students and faculty need and then invent new services and spaces for them. The people are amazing and the deliverables are incredible. I look forward to working with them on our next big thing.
