The draft Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill sets out the requirements that, under Martyn鈥檚 Law, venues and other organisations will have to meet to ensure public safety. 鈥楳artyn鈥檚 Law鈥 spearheaded by Figen Murray as a tribute to her son Martyn Hett who was killed alongside 21 others in the Manchester Arena terrorist attack in 2017.

In addition to the event security and crowd safety experience, she has significant experience of strategic protective security in both the planning and operational environments across various sectors including hotels, educational institutes, cultural venues, leisure and public realm working with both the commercial, residential and public sectors.

As well as the technical and strategic aspects of ensuring safe and secure environments, Ally is keen to raise standards within the private security industry at all levels and is an advisory board member for IFPO UK (International Foundation for Protection Officers UK), is a member of the Women in Security Academy and is a co-chair of the Security Institute Frontline SIG.
