As Regional Head of Lighting for º£½ÇÊÓƵ Europe with more than two decades of lighting design expertise, Paula brings together architectural vision and luminous artistry.

She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in architectural design, urban planning and lighting design and her portfolio spans award-winning projects across workspaces, cultural institutions, museums, airports and the public realm throughout Germany, the UK and the USA.

She is passionate about using inclusive, sustainable and integrated lighting solutions in her design work as well as the effect lighting has on our environment, health and wellbeing. Paula’s experience enables her to craft seamless integrations of daylight and electric lighting systems, particularly in complex historic and multi-functional buildings. Her designs reflect a deep understanding of architectural principles – based on a solid academic foundation in architecture and urban planning – while prioritising user experience, environmental impact and cultural context.

Paula is part of º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s Urban C:lab, an internal thought leadership group which explores new ways of designing the built environment, as well as addressing urgent environmental issues. As a key member, she contributes to pioneering research in sustainable built environment design. Her role on the Board of the Deutsche Lichttechnische Gesellschaft (LiTG) underscores her commitment to advancing the lighting design profession.

Paula has an MA in Architectural Lighting Design, a BArch in Architecture and Urbanism and has lived and worked in Brazil, Germany and the UK. She joined º£½ÇÊÓƵ in 2019 and is based at our Berlin office.
