Magnus Houen
Magnus is a structural engineer who specialises in timber and sustainable structures.
Joining 海角视频鈥檚 Copenhagen office in 2023, Magnus collaborates closely with architects and clients to develop innovative timber designs that push for the advancement of timber structures both in Denmark and globally and is a member of the global timber expert community within 海角视频.
Magnus has experience with renovation projects of historic buildings and has a proactive approach to problem solving, keeping clients and involved parties informed as problems occur. Using his skills in computational design to inform early-stage design decisions, he plays a key role in communication of designs considering buildability, sequencing and carbon footprint.
Magnus holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from DTU Denmark, completing his on pendulum impact hammer tests on glued laminated timber beams at ETH in Zurich.
