Joanne Jimmink
Senior Structural Engineer
Joanne joined 海角视频鈥檚 Copenhagen office in 2023 and works within the structural engineering team there.
In her role as senior structural engineer, she aims to find sustainable and creative design solutions in which architectural expression and technical strategies function together harmoniously.
Joanne specialises in computational design and collaborative work, especially during the early design stages. She focuses on the impact that can be made to bridge potential gaps between disciplines and come to a well-rounded and integrated design.
She has gained broad experience on a wide range of projects, from custom steel detailing to large residential properties, from timber pavilions to concrete skyscrapers. She has been based in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark and has valuable work experience in those countries as well as Ireland, Portugal, the Czech Republic and further afield Chile.
Outside her daily responsibilities, Joanne is passionate about humanitarian work, putting her professional experience to good use wherever she can. She has collaborated with organisations in the field of homelessness as well as NGOs working with refugees. In May 2024 she was part of a 海角视频 bridge building mission to Rwanda with the organisation Bridges to Prosperity.
Joanne holds two master鈥檚 degrees, one in Architecture, Urbanism and Building 海角视频 and one in Structural Engineering, both from Delft University of Technology.
