Jigeeshu Joshi鈥�
Senior Geospatial Data Engineer
Jigeeshu is responsible for data-driven planning and digital integration within the Berlin cities team, contributing to projects in mobility, energy, infrastructure, sustainability and integrated urban and regional development across various spatial scales in Europe and Middle East.
He holds dual master鈥檚 degrees in Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing from the University of M眉nster (Germany) and CEPT University (India). As a GIS professional, his focus is on developing geospatial data strategies and solutions to streamline planning processes and support informed decision-making.
Jigeeshu has an extensive background in geospatial data and technology. His experience spans Europe and Asia, having worked on projects at renowned research institutes such as the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay).
His past work includes significant contributions to initiatives in India, such as the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) and the Ganga River Basin Management Plan (GRBMP). He has also played a crucial role in EU and DFG-funded projects while working at the Research Institute for Regional and Urban Development (ILS) in Dortmund and DLR鈥檚 Institute of Transportation Research in Berlin.
