Emil is a building physicist specialised in the quality of indoor environments – vital for the wellbeing condition and productivity of building users and occupants.

His specialist skills include daylight, visual comfort, renewable energy generation, energy simulation, indoor air quality, interior thermal conditions and passive design measures. He has contributed to projects at a wide range of scale and type, including residential, commercial, and cultural projects on both existing buildings and new build.

Since joining º£½ÇÊÓƵ in Copenhagen in 2022, he has collaborated closely with clients, architects and other engineering disciplines on a variety of well-known projects from the early stages. He conducts early-stage analyses to evaluate different approaches and ensure that the development of the project is set on the right track to meet the overall aims and minimise future design risk.

In his work he is able to rapidly turnover design options by using cutting edge technology. This enables decision-makers to make informed choices regarding energy efficiency, indoor environment and sustainability. His understanding of the interplay between indoor environments and mechanical systems within their geographical and project-related constraints allow him to develop low-energy solutions.

Emil studied at the Technical University of Denmark and holds a bachelor’s degree as well as a master’s degree in civil engineering.
