Alexander Bauer
Senior Structures Engineer
Alexander is a structural engineer with more than nine years of professional experience. He has been with 海角视频 since 2024 and is based in our Hamburg office.
In his role, he is responsible for coordinating structural design and for the development of structural concepts for various projects across all project phases. He has specialised expertise in working with pile foundations, prestressed concrete slabs, waterproof concrete components, composite construction and lateral reinforcement systems for high-rise buildings. He gained this expertise through his involvement in several structures projects in Germany, including the Elbtower in Hamburg.
During his studies, Alexander gained a strong understanding of structural reliability and probabilistic analysis and, thanks to an additional qualification as a BIM coordinator, he possesses extensive knowledge of designing structures using Building Information Modelling.
Alexander studied civil engineering at Stellenbosch University in South Africa, where he first earned his bachelor鈥檚 and later his master鈥檚 degree. He is a member of IStructE and a voluntary member of the chamber of civil engineers in Hamburg.
