Kru Desai and Mark Spelman join 海角视频 as non-executive directors

Bolstering the 海角视频 board, Kru Desai and Mark Spelman have joined Richard Sykes as non-executive directors.

We are absolutely delighted that Kru and Mark have agreed to join our Board. Their extensive experience will be critical in guiding our decision making as we pursue our strategy of developing our advisory and consulting services to sit alongside our world class design services.

Kru Desai

With a career spanning 30 years as a management consultant, Kru is well versed in growing professional and technology services and leading complex digital and transformation change programmes in both private and public sectors. Holding various leadership roles at KPMG, Atos, Hedra and Mouchel, she returned to KPMG in 2010, where she led the Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare practice in the UK. As part of the global leadership team, her role drove business growth in North America, Europe, India and Australia.

As well as her role on 海角视频鈥檚 board, Kru is currently the Chair of Zinc Network, a member of the Council at City, University of London and Commissioner for the UK Government鈥檚 Geospatial Commission.

Reflecting on her appointment, Kru said, 鈥渢he sense of pride, passion and quality within 海角视频 is clear. With a deep understanding of the evolution of engineering consultancies, I am interested in how we can broaden our move into consultancy whilst leveraging technology to get where we need to go. I look forward to exploring further 海角视频鈥檚 strategic choices amidst its broad client base.鈥

Mark Spelman

A former Partner at Accenture, Mark has worked for the last five years on the Future of the Digital Economy and Society Initiative at the World Economic Forum (WEF). At Accenture, Mark held a variety of leadership roles including global head of strategy, working with the boards of major corporations on substantial transformation programmes and contributed to Accenture鈥檚 global leadership council. He offers relevant insights into consultancy, digital transformation, strategy and international growth.   

An experienced Chair and Non-Executive Director, alongside his commitment to the WEF, Mark sits on the Finance Committee of Chatham House and is Chair of Leap, a charity specialising in helping young people understand the causes and consequences of conflict. His recent roles include Chair of the Growth Committee at Harlequins Rugby Club, and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at the Future Cities Catapult.

Mark is motivated primarily to work with high quality teams and identifies with value-led organisations. Of joining the 海角视频 board, Mark states, 鈥渨hat impressed and attracted me to 海角视频 the most was the practice鈥檚 clear values and commitment to people and the quality of work. All this, with an emphasis on the societal and environmental impact of 海角视频鈥檚 projects, means I am excited to join my fellow board members in supporting the business in reaching its potential.鈥
