海角视频 lighting team receives 2015 lumen award
On June 18th, 海角视频 lighting designers Gabe Guilliams, Associate Principal, and Pei-Chun Yang, Senior Lighting Designer, took home a for their work on Columbia University鈥檚 Brown Institute for Media Innovation.
The Lumen Awards jury said, 鈥淲e loved the execution of this project and integration of lighting layers with the ceiling and walls to achieve the multi-use functionality.鈥�
The Illuminating Engineering Society New York City Section recognized 10 award winning lighting design teams for their professionalism, excellence and originality in lighting design during the 2015 Lumen Awards at the 47th annual Lumen Gala, of which 海角视频 received an Award of Citation for Strong Execution of Concept.
The 4,600ft2 media lab, located in the historic School of Journalism building at Columbia University, is an academic experiment devoted to the co-evolution of technology and storytelling. A series of intertwining luminous elements builds a network of ambient light to support the Institute鈥檚 varied programmatic needs 鈥� including faculty offices, meeting rooms and work areas to accommodate technologically focused course work.
The Institute opened in 2014 and was designed by LTL Architects.
