The Sports Boulevard

A multidisciplinary team from 海角视频 is collaborating closely with a consortium led by Coen + Partners to deliver the world鈥檚 largest linear park: The Sports Boulevard.

The park will extend more than 135 kilometres on Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, connecting Wadi Hanifah in the West with Wadi Al Sulai in the East through a grid of safe green pathways for pedestrians, cyclists, athletes, and horse-riders.

It will include 4.4 million square metres of greenery and open spaces, facilities for more than 50 multidisciplinary sports, 220km of cycling tracks, 149km of horse-riding trails and 135km of pedestrian walkways.

The city of Riyadh is home to a growing population of more than seven million people. The valleys of Wadi Hanifah, which is another 海角视频 project, and Wadi Sulay have traditionally offered destinations for recreation outside the heat of the city. But as part of its wider vision for improving lifestyles for citizens across the next decade, the Kingdom鈥檚 aspiration is to connect the two Wadi areas with a transformational corridor running through the city devoted to health and wellbeing, sport and recreation.

It is expected to be one of the largest urban development projects in the world, contributing to the Kingdom鈥檚 ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 and Quality of Life Programmes with the aim of making Riyadh one of the top 10 most liveable cities in the world.

The Sports Boulevard will deliver lasting change for the city of Riyadh, connecting the city from West to East, and people to places and opportunities. It will offer a world-renowned destination for residents and visitors and a new era for sports and wellbeing in the region. It will deliver this by creating the facilities to establish a legacy of sports and wellbeing in Riyadh; delivering transformative infrastructure that sets Riyadh on course to be a global, future-thinking city; and generating innovative economic opportunities, helping to promote prosperity for all.

The Sports Boulevard will create a positive impact across every section of Riyadh鈥檚 social fabric, including establishing a lasting economic influence through the creation of jobs, businesses, and heightened economic activity.

The project will deliver a total transformation of Riyadh where a healthy lifestyle 鈥� supported by sporting choices and opportunities 鈥� will combine with green living through state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities, dramatically improving the lives of Riyadh鈥檚 residents.
