Oasis at Heaton Park
Manchester, UK
Vanguardia, a º£½ÇÊÓƵ company, played a pivotal role in delivering Oasis’s triumphant 2025 return to Manchester’s Heaton Park.
Our acoustic consultants supported the full UK leg of the Oasis tour, overseeing sound management at major venues including Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Murrayfield in Edinburgh, and Wembley in London.
The Heaton Park performances marked a significant reunion, not just for the band, but for Vanguardia too. The last time our team worked with Oasis at this venue was in 2009, helping over 200,000 fans enjoy the concerts with minimal impact on nearby residents. Now, 16 years later, we returned with advanced audio monitoring tools and the same dedication to delivering exceptional sound quality for both audiences and the surrounding community.
Unlike enclosed stadiums, Heaton Park presents unique acoustic challenges due to its open layout and proximity to residential areas. Vanguardia’s involvement began well ahead of the live dates, providing strategic guidance to the promoter and coordinating with local authorities to meet licensing conditions. The team developed a bespoke acoustic model of the site to simulate how sound would travel across the park’s terrain.
During the shows, our team deployed MeTrao – an intelligent, networked sound monitoring system, both on-site and at key offsite locations. This setup enabled real-time analysis and communication with the production’s sound engineers. By pinpointing specific sound frequencies that were reaching residential zones, we were able to fine-tune the audio output to reduce disturbance while preserving the excitement and clarity of the live experience.

Providing sound management at Heaton Park is a very different challenge to working in a stadium bowl environment, where the venue itself contains the noise breakout. It’s all about supporting the client to put on the best possible show for fans, without unduly impacting the surrounding communities.
