William is a creative and highly skilled building services engineer based in our Hamburg office. He joined º£½ÇÊÓƵ in 2013.

With more than 12 years of experience under his belt, William excels in providing engineering solutions for a variety of projects, including education, cultural, commercial and residential projects. His role within º£½ÇÊÓƵ has evolved from designing specific heating, cooling and ventilation packages to taking full design and commercial responsibility of projects.

William started his career at the º£½ÇÊÓƵ HQ in Bath and relocated two years later to Germany, where he spent more than four years in the Berlin office before moving to Hamburg. This relocation has given him an excellent understanding of the industry in both countries and provided him with many opportunities to experience working with large international, multi-disciplinary teams design teams, exposure to regional engineering regulations and working in a different language.

Throughout his career, he has contributed to large-scale international projects such as the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg and the ܲú±ð°ù²õ±ð±ð±ç³Ü²¹°ù³Ù¾±±ð°ù in Hamburg. William is an expert user of Revit and Navisworks and actively exploits the benefits of BIM, such as smart schedules and live coordination presentations to clients.

William studied a MEng in architecture and environmental design at the University of Nottingham. He has since been invited to be a guest environmental design tutor at the University of Nottingham as well as the University of Stuttgart, giving presentations on environmental design principles and running design workshops with the architecture and engineering students. One of his most rewarding experiences was applying passive design strategies on Project Limpopo, a nursery school he designed and built with his student cohort in South Africa. He then went on to present his experience at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and was named CIBSE ASHRAE Graduate of the Year. Now a fully-fledged chartered engineer, he also won the 2024 CIBSE Ken Dale Travel Bursary to undertake research in the field of heat pumps.
