Vera Sluijter is a dedicated structural engineer at º£½ÇÊÓÆµ, who graduated from Delft University of Technology in 2021. She has been part of multidisciplinary design teams for buildings across Europe, the Middle-East and Asia, where she worked closely together with architects, clients and other engineering disciplines.

With a specialism in sustainability and low-carbon solutions, Vera plays a pivotal role in shaping environmentally conscious projects in the Rotterdam office. Her commitment extends beyond theory; she actively seeks innovative ways to reduce the carbon footprint of buildings while maintaining structural integrity.

Within her team, she works on upskilling her colleagues in their understanding of embodied carbon within structures, emphasizing the importance of sustainable practices. By fostering a deeper understanding, she ensures that everyone contributes to environmentally friendly solutions.

She combines her passion for sustainable design with technical expertise. Following from seeking low-carbon solutions, Vera has expertise in timber and hybrid buildings. The specific challenges from different materials is something that motivates her to improve her technical knowledge to apply them where they fit best.
