Toar joined º£½ÇÊÓƵ as a Senior Inclusive Environments Consultant in 2022, bringing into her work a wealth of knowledge from her prior experience as an architect, her academic knowledge from the MSc in Health, Wellbeing and Sustainable Buildings in University College London (UCL), her WELL AP qualification, and her deep passion for people-centred design.

With experience in various geographical contexts, including the USA, UK and Middle East, Toar has delivered consultancy services on a wide range of building typologies and outdoor environments, including residential, commercial, cultural and recreational. She has worked on projects in a range of scales, from small exhibition spaces to neighbourhood masterplans.

Alongside her consultancy work, Toar is the module lead and honorary lecturer for the postgraduate course on Designing Inclusive Places in the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources at UCL. Her roles within industry and academia provide her with the unique opportunity for bridging between research, education and practice and facilitating the advancement of the inclusive environments discipline.

Toar’s research on the design preferences of neurodivergent populations for quiet spaces has contributed to the British Standards Institute publication “PAS 6463 Design for the Mind – Neurodiversity and the Built Environment – Guide”. She is a co-author on the publication “Beyond the minimum: designing for neurodiversity in museums and galleries” and a contributing author to the European Commission’s publication “A practical guide to the New European Bauhaus self-assessment method and tool”.

Toar is an active speaker on inclusive design, having presented in conferences such as the Education Estates, CIBSE Build2Perform and Ecophon International Acoustics Seminar. She has collaborated on various workshops and panels, including with the BRE Health and Wellbeing Technical Working Group. She has written and been interviewed on inclusive design in various publications, including by USGBC+, the Dementia Friendly Network, and AIA New York.
