Tijl Uijtenhaak
Associate Director Structural Engineer
Tijl is a chartered structural engineer with 12 years of professional experience who is based at our office in Rotterdam. He joined 海角视频 as Associate in 2022.
In his role as project leader, Tijl supports the creation of our landmark projects in the Netherlands and wider Europe. His extensive experience working in multi-disciplinary design groups on iconic buildings, Tijl has worked closely with architects, contractors, clients and other engineering disciplines to deliver holistic design solutions of varying complexity and size. He is motivated by using new techniques and insights to strive for the best overall result in a design.
Extensive industry experience prior to joining 海角视频 including time spent as a residential engineer gave him with a fundamental understanding of the practicalities of construction. He has experience in using reinforced concrete, steel and timber to European and British Standards as well as glass and masonry design.
His background in both architecture and engineering also enables Tijl to communicate effectively within large international teams and across disciplines providing him with a strong skillset to lead our projects.
Tijl holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in civil engineering from the Delft University of Technology as well as a master鈥檚 degrees in civil engineering and in architecture from the same university. He is a member of the Architectenregister, Dutch engineering society Kivi, and is a chartered engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
