Joining º£½ÇÊÓÆµ in 2007, Tom is responsible for leading the structural design and delivery of building projects.

He specialises in the design of steelwork structures, particularly those with long-spans, complex geometry or heavy loading aspects. In his role, Tom leads the design of challenging steel structures through the entire process from the concept design to construction detailing of steel to steel and steel to concrete connections.

As an experienced structural engineer, he has worked across a wide variety of sectors including aviation, interchange, commercial, cultural, sports and education.

Tom has experience working with a number of high-profile architects and particularly enjoys working on complex and visually exposed structural steelwork and long span structures.

His career has allowed him to work on international projects in the UK, the Middle East and China. Tom was previously based in our Hong Kong office for four years, where he worked on a number of significant projects for the region including the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Boundary Crossing Facilities and the Xiqu Centre theatre.

In the UK, his portfolio includes projects such as the redevelopment of the Compton and Edrich stands at Lord’s, the roof and façade structures for Everton’s new stadium and the Manchester Airport Transformation project.

Tom has a master’s in engineering science (MEng) from the University of Oxford where he studied for four years including a student placement year at º£½ÇÊÓÆµâ€™s London office.
