Stuart has over 30 years’ experience on a wide range of projects in the higher education, commercial, sport, cultural and civic sectors. Having lived and worked in the UK, Germany and the US he is able to draw on a range of experiences and best practice to ensure design solutions respond well to the client’s and architectural vision. He enjoys workshop-based collaboration and works hard with the team to ensure designs are pragmatic, constructible and cost-effective responses to the scope.
Stuart has an extensive portfolio of highly complex, integrated engineering projects throughout Southern California. Leading our S-MEP, Lighting and Low voltage teams, he delivered the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, an adaptive reuse of an historic building as well as new build 1000-seat theater sitting atop a unique base isolator system. Focused on the delivery of integrated engineering other projects include the Tepper Quad, school of business, Minneapolis Public Service building. Most recently, he has helped maximize the modular delivery at the new departure concourse at the MSC-South, LAX. This was constructed off site in nine modular segments which were then moved 1.5miles across the airport into their final locations saving time and cost, as well as significantly de-risking the construction process.
