Roya is an RTPI Chartered Town Planner with over 15 years of international experience across the Middle East, UK and Africa. Her work spans the full spectrum of planning practice, with a particular focus on urban governance, policy frameworks and the institutional conditions that enable successful city-making.
She brings a strong track record in leading and delivering complex, planning鈥憀ed multidisciplinary projects for government entities and private鈥憇ector clients. Her experience covers strategic planning and spatial policy development, masterplanning and the creation of planning regulations and implementation tools. Roya is also skilled in designing and facilitating robust stakeholder and civic engagement processes – ensuring that diverse voices, governance structures and operational realities come together to support actionable and enduring outcomes.
Driven by a commitment to improving the quality, equity and long鈥憈erm resilience of everyday places, Roya combines technical rigour with a strong set of social values. She is passionate about supporting cities and institutions to make better decisions, build capacity and create tangible, lasting change for the communities they serve.
