Roaa Babiker

Roaa is a chartered engineer with over 14 years of experience and a strong track record of delivering outstanding sustainability outcomes for high-profile building projects.
Roaa鈥檚 core skills are focused on building performance optimisation, including energy efficiency, embodied carbon and circular economy, and adopting the whole life carbon and design for performance approaches to provide holistic sustainability leadership. Roaa graduated with an MSc in buildings services engineering with sustainable energy in 2014 and joined 海角视频 in September 2021. Before that, Roaa led a subgroup of thermal modelling engineers within a building sustainability team focused on energy efficiency, low carbon technology and design for performance.
Her combination of building service know-how, building physics abilities and thermal modelling allows her to rapidly adapt and add value to the team鈥檚 skillset in producing energy strategies for clients needing energy efficiency at the heart of their design. Roaa also draws focus on metering strategies, setting out high-level hydraulic design and coordinates the energy-efficient design into practice by working with the building service team.
Roaa is also the vice chair of the CIBSE Energy Performance Group steering committee in addition to her involvement with the London Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI), the British Council for Office (BCO) in updating their net zero carbon design criteria, and Better Buildings Partnership (BBP) Design for Performance Framework development.
