Technical Director - Environmental Planning
At º£½ÇÊÓÆµ, Patrick leads the team’s Environmental Impact Assesssment (EIA) and environmental planning services in London and the Southeast and climate change EIA services across the UK.
Patrick joined º£½ÇÊÓÆµ in November 2023 as a technical director in the London office. He is a client-focused and solutions-orientated environmental consultant, with over 13 years of consultancy experience, specialising in EIA, environmental planning, and climate change assessment. Patrick brings with him a wealth of knowledge, having previously led the EIA and environmental planning service line at CBRE.
Patrick has a proven track record of leading the delivering of high-quality EIAs and other environmental services for sustainable developments on sites with complex environmental and planning constraints across the breadth of the UK. He is experienced in leading all stages of the EIA process, including: providing strategic, technical and commercially minded EIA advice; undertaking opportunities and constraints appraisals; managing large multidisciplinary teams; acting as an intermediary between the client, the planning and design teams, and the EIA team; leading consultations with statutory consultees; preparing EIA screening and scoping reports and Environmental Statements (ES); and providing post-submission support. Patrick is also experienced in supporting local planning authorities in an independent EIA peer review capacity.
Patrick’s expertise also includes whole life carbon and greenhouse gas assessments, climate change resilience and adaptation assessments, and preparation of climate change ES chapters – as well preparation of outline construction environmental management plans, major accidents & disasters EIA inputs, and provision of environmental masterplanning and technical due diligence advice. Patrick has led projects for both public and private sector clients across a broad range of sectors, including residential, office and commercial, retail, industrial, storage and logistics, education, healthcare, hotel, leisure and tourism, marine, solar, and rail.
