Melanie Chamberland is an associate principal in our New York office. Melanie has over 20 years of experience in electrical engineering.

Melanie began her career in energy research with a focus on sustainable development and energy storage solutions.

Melanie has led the electrical engineering design for landmark projects across all sectors, with particular expertise in higher education, cultural institutions, and commercial developments.

Combining her early experience in sustainability and energy storage with her current project work, Melanie applies this foundation to support energy efficiency and decarbonization solutions for clients. In existing buildings, she leverages this expertise to implement electrification solutions, optimize energy systems, and guide clients toward economically viable low-carbon outcomes.

She has extensive experience designing complex electrical systems, coordinating and leading teams as well as handling client interactions. Melanie is constantly motivated by conservation and engineering innovations to reduce our footprint and energy consumption.
