Martin joined our Rotterdam office in 2024. In his role as Associate Director Cities, he draws on 25 years of experience working on complex urban and landscape regeneration projects. His strength is the integration of disciplines and scales as well as the development of innovative solutions in times of change.

With his work Martin aims to transform metropolitan regions in three ways: natural systems of water, habitats, and open spaces as drivers for development, with engineering as crucial support; the integrated design of places bringing together urbanism, landscape, and architecture for a better life for all; and a learning-orientated design process that allows all contributors to grow and develop.

Martin brings to 海角视频 an understanding that successful projects are only possible through collaboration. This understanding was gained while working as an architect in Austria and the UK. During a five-year stint in London, Martin led regeneration projects across the country, including a pilot project on contemporary art-based community work. As team leader in a large multi-disciplinary team, he contributed significantly to the development of an innovative framework plan for the London Olympic Legacy Masterplan.

Before joining us, Martin built up an international design firm delivering urban, landscape, and architecture projects for public, commercial, and private clients. His work received multiple awards and was recognised by UN-Habitat as outstanding practice in 2021 and 2023. Martin teaches integrated design at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture.

He studied urbanism at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and architecture at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. As well as his studies, he also held a fellowship in Los Angeles and undertook research into the Frankfurt metropolitan region.
