Markus, a graduate of Kassel University, has more than 25 years of experience as a structural engineer. His key areas of expertise are design and construction in existing buildings and timber structures.

Before joining 海角视频 in 2016, Markus gained experience in special engineering offices Pichler Ingenieure and WTM Engineers GmbH. He has also worked with Swiss architect Max Dudler and the German architectural office 鈥榗ode unique鈥� among others.

Markus enjoys taking part in design competitions with architects. He has a strong relationship to architecture and integral planning. In his own words: 鈥淐ooperation already starts in the early design stages, and I am convinced that it leads to creative, innovative and good technical solutions.鈥�

Markus has an outstanding capacity for teamwork, great communication skills, is highly motivated, curious and creative. Based in our Berlin office as the discipline leader and group director for structural engineering, Markus is leading the German structural team on projects including, Mercedes Platz Berlin, a new entertainment district close to Eastside Gallery and Mercedes Benz Arena. He was able to apply his expertise in timber structures to the EDGE S眉dkreuz modular timber hybrid building.

He also worked on the AM Tacheles project, a development with offices, residential buildings and retail space at a historic site in the centre of Berlin. The new office building for energy producer Enso in Dresden in the immediate vicinity of the city’s main station is also part of his portfolio.
