Associate | Building Performance
Luke Lombardi is a senior sustainability consultant with 海角视频. His background in structural engineering brings the team valuable technical expertise in construction and embodied carbon.
This is exemplified by his work both internally as well as external volunteer efforts on the SE 2050 Program leadership team.
From an engineering perspective, Luke has a solid base of understanding for building life cycle assessment (LCA) and the suite of tools available for that analysis. He views computational design as a vital component to making carbon a consideration on construction projects.
In addition to his structural engineering role, Luke develops educational webinars with AIA-CA and SEAOC for upcoming CALGreen Embodied Carbon Requirements.
He also frequently operates as the liaison between development team and practicing engineers, giving presentations and instructing architects and engineers how to complete embodied carbon calculations. As an extension of these efforts, he participated and was a member of the 2020 AEC Tech Hackathon鈥檚 winning team, which developed the early-stage carbon assessment tool 鈥淓Z-EC.鈥
