Lorenzo Vercesi

Lorenzo is a fa莽ade engineer with over 11 years of experience in multi-disciplinary building consultancy. His expertise spans the design and engineering of new and existing buildings with a strong focus on sustainability, including operational energy versus embodied carbon, circularity, design for disassembly and modern methods of construction.
He has delivered fast-paced projects requiring precision engineering, complex requirements and lean budgets across sectors such as cultural and education, sports and entertainment, healthcare, commercial offices and residential. His experience covers the UK, continental Europe and the Middle East.
Before moving into consultancy, Lorenzo worked in academia and research at Politecnico di Milano, focusing on building fabric materials for solar shading and cool roofs, urban and indoor comfort and smart materials for building components.
Lorenzo is a chartered engineer in the UK and Italy and a member of CIBSE and the Society of Fa莽ade Engineering. His technical insight and collaborative approach enable innovative, sustainable solutions that meet challenging performance targets and deliver long-term value to the built environment.
