Lorenzo Lignarolo
Lorenzo joined the building physics and MEP team at our Rotterdam office in 2024. He has more than 10 years of experience in sustainability, energy engineering, building physics and urban physics.
Lorenzo’s strength lies in his seamless communication with architects and his leadership of multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists, ensuring the smooth integration of architectural ideas with solid engineering. His goal is to help clients make buildings and cities more sustainable, productive and healthy, while making the best use of natural and economic resources.
Throughout his career, Lorenzo collaborated with many international architecture, design and engineering firms, as well as academic and research institutions. He took part to EU-funded research projects and he is author of a book about low-pressure ventilation systems design.
Lorenzo graduated with a MSc in Energy & Nuclear Engineering at Politecnico di Torino/Stockholm Royal Institute of Technology and obtained a PhD in wind energy at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). He worked as a researcher at NATO’s Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics and as lecturer at TU Delft.
