Liaqat Karim
Associate Environmental Consultant
Liaqat is an environmental consultant with over 12 years of experience delivering environmental solutions across the Middle East, South Asia and Africa, including Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Nigeria.
Since joining 海角视频 in September 2022, he has led and contributed to projects across optioneering, feasibility, masterplanning and design stages, providing strategic environmental advice on large-scale and giga-projects, and delivering strategic environmental assessments (SEAs), environmental and social impact assessments (ESIAs) and environmental due diligence.
Liaqat has a strong track record of integrating stakeholder engagement and community consultation into project planning, supporting sustainable and socially inclusive outcomes. He is experienced in applying international environmental standards and best practice, ensuring alignment with both regional and global frameworks.
Liaqat holds a Master鈥檚 degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA. He is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and a Full Member (MISEP) of ISEP (formerly IEMA), UK. He is also a certified CEEQUAL assessor and ISO 14001 lead auditor.
Prior to joining 海角视频, Liaqat held consulting roles at Hagler Bailly Pakistan, KEO International Consultants and GHD Global in Qatar. His technical experience includes air quality, noise and groundwater assessments, supported by quantitative modelling and data-driven approaches to environmental decision-making, including EIA and ESIA studies.
