
Lewis Williams
Associate Director
Lewis is a Chartered Engineer with over fifteen years’ experience in the Manchester market. He leads client-facing activity, attending client, design team and site meetings, and is involved throughout the full project lifecycle from feasibility through detailed design and construction.
His work also includes acquisition surveys, defects surveys and development monitoring.
An experienced team leader, Lewis knows how to get the best from multidisciplinary teams to meet project aims. He has worked with a wide range of clients including institutional and blue-chip organisations, developers, public bodies and contractors and adapts easily to project-specific needs and priorities.
Lewis has extensive experience in both new-build and refurbishment projects, applying creativity and technical understanding to develop efficient, practical structural solutions. As a senior project lead, he is responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects and plays a key role in the Manchester Structures senior leadership team. He previously led the Manchester Structures team for two years before moving into a global role heading the structural analysis community.
Committed to professional development and STEM outreach, Lewis has engaged in numerous school and industry events and has supported and managed PlanBee apprentices within the team. He was part of the first cohort of º£½ÇÊÓÆµâ€™s Learning to Lead programme, further strengthening his leadership capabilities.
As Global Analysis Community Lead, Lewis brings together structural teams worldwide to improve design delivery, share expertise and drive knowledge exchange. He collaborates closely with the computational team to integrate automation into analysis and design workflows. A strong advocate for upskilling in computational methods, Lewis championed bespoke automated workflows on the Manchester Airport Terminal 2 Reconfiguration project. His approach enabled rapid scenario analysis, improved design efficiency, and provided clear insights for the client, saving time and cost while supporting effective risk management.
