With over 25 years specialising in accessibility and inclusive design, Jean is keen to promote exemplary access and push boundaries.

She regularly authors or contributes to guidance on accessibility and inclusion, and was BSI鈥檚 technical author for PAS 6463: 鈥淒esign for the Mind 鈥 Neurodiversity and the Built Environment鈥 as well as being a contributor to guidance standards for accessible sport facilities (Sport England), sensory inclusion in schools (Scotland), and menstrual and menopausal health in the workplace (BSI). Jean is also a longstanding committee member at BSI. 

Jean has been an accredited member of the National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC) since 2003. She is certified member of Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management, an active member of the Access Association and a technical member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. She has a longstanding professional interest in safe evacuation for disabled people and has contributed to research and guidance on this subject.

An Honorary Associate Professor at The Bartlett, Jean developed the 鈥淒esigning Inclusive Places鈥 module for UCL鈥檚聽聽programme and remains a guest lecturer and a member of the Advisory Board. She often works as client side advisory, undertaking design reviews and giving operational advice, as well as leading inclusive stakeholder and co-design workshops and regularly聽delivering聽training workshops聽to client organisations.
