Ian Nicholson
Ian Nicholson is an Associate Principal for Advisory and Urban Development based out of 海角视频鈥檚 New York office
With a depth of experience in design and construction in New York City and the Hudson Valley, Ian brings a fine-grained wealth of knowledge to his consulting work.
After six years of working with custom residential spaces, including a 鈥減assive鈥� house and another house built to Living Building standards, he studied real estate as a tool to leverage sustainability strategies on a bigger scale. His skills include project management, architectural design and detailing, sustainable design, and urban strategy, which he recently put to use 鈥渞eimagining the Erie Canal鈥� with a focus on real estate strategy and economic development.
He has also worked extensively with food and agriculture, rounding out a holistic perspective on the built environment. He is currently the lead consultant for the NY Forward program in the Capital Region, focused on the strategic revitalization of historic rural downtowns. Ian is a registered Architect in the State of New York and earned his Bachelor of Architecture at Syracuse University and his Master of Science in Real Estate Development at Columbia University GSAPP
