Frank Reder
Associate Principal | Acoustics
With 14 years’ experience on complex and high-profile projects the world over, Frank Reder leads º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s Acoustics and Vanguardia teams in the US.
With insights into acoustics and architecture, Frank brings a dedicated and nationally active expert resource in the art of acoustic design to complement º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s international team of more than forty acoustics specialists. His viewpoint on design stems in part from his background as a jazz guitarist, and largely from his work with some of the world’s leading architects and institutions.
He is proud of his portfolio that is built largely from projects that don’t have easy or obvious solutions, including: the Museum of Modern Art, TWA Flight Center Hotel, Central Park Tower, Apple Store Fifth Avenue Flagship, Google’s Chelsea Headquarters, and Terra – the Sustainability Pavilion at the 2020 World Expo. These projects highlight his joy in creating artfully designed acoustic spaces that enhance (rather than detract from) architectural beauty and vision.Â
As a musician, Frank understands the importance acoustics play in the overall experience of a space. But it is his passion for design and love of architecture that has brought him to a career consulting for world-class architects. He can now most often be found around a table with other designers, happily sketching through design solutions.
