Director
Chris is a chartered geologist specialising in engineering geology. He joined º£½ÇÊÓƵ in 2003 and now has over 20 years of experience in the industry.
Leading our Ground Engineering team in our Leeds office, Chris has provided leadership on a number of projects both discipline specific and multidisciplinary across the UK working with both the Buildings and Cities parts of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ business. Combining his technical knowledge of complex geological process along with a solid commercial understanding, Chris addresses each project with a holistic approach to ground risk management.
His experience and knowledge of ground engineering and ground risk management enables consideration and cross over between engineering geology, geotechnical engineering and geoenvironmental/contaminated land aspects of all projects. Through establishing early engagement with the client team and third parties/stakeholder, Chris has helped our clients achieve planning approval and cost-effective sub-structure design efficiency on numerous development sites.
Throughout his career, he has led and been directly responsible for the ground engineering design on brownfield and greenfield development sites for both new build and the integration of new and existing structures alike.
Chris also has a portfolio in the field of ground source energy systems, ranging from feasibility studies, through the statutory engagement process, specifications for drilling and testing and culminating in licence and consent approvals for live ground source energy systems.
