Anton Sawicki
Design Project Director
Anton is our Design Project Director for our London Structures team. He joined º£½ÇÊÓƵ in 2020.
Anton has over 35 years of experience in the engineering industry and has led international new build and refurbishment projects across multiple disciplines.
As a result of his time in the industry, Anton has an approach to design that has unlocked many international projects in the Arts and Cultural sector including museums, galleries and theatres. His experience enables him to engage in a collaboration with the client to develop the project brief which is critical for projects of this nature. Some great small arts projects to mention: Vltava Philharmonic, Prague, Purple Hibiscus Installation – Ibrahim Mahama – Barbican and Mire Lee Installation – Tate Modern Turbine Hall
He also has 20 years’ experience of designing and delivering temporary and demountable structures that include opening ceremonies, stage set designs and bespoke art sculptures. Together this experience has allowed him to be able to balance any preset design inspirations with onsite construction practicality.
Anton prides himself on the application of a rigorous approach to engineering design, allowing the architectural design development to run smoothly through a process of refinement, rather than wholesale changes. His passion is a holistic understanding and approach that will not focus simply on the structure, but rather on how the structural design will engage with the other disciplines and the needs of the end user.
