Mit mehr als 20 Jahren internationaler Erfahrung in integrierter, innovativer Stadtplanung, Portfolioberatung und Geb\u00e4udeplanung verfolgt Thomas einen ganzheitlichen Ansatz in Richtung nachhaltiger Zukunft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Als Partner und Leiter f\u00fcr Nachhaltigkeit und Klima leitet Thomas einen Teil das Cities-Team Europa von 海角视频. Sein Fokus liegt dabei auf resilienten urbanen Gebieten in Deutschland, Europa und dar\u00fcber hinaus. Er ist Berater f\u00fcr \u00f6ffentliche und private Auftraggeber:innen und versteht die Bedeutung der multidisziplin\u00e4ren Zusammenarbeit f\u00fcr Best-Practice-L\u00f6sungen. Er leitet unser Engagement f\u00fcr internationale Entwicklungsarbeit mit Organisationen wie z.B. UNIDO, World Bank, KfW oder GIZ und ber\u00e4t Kommunen und Immobilienunternehmen in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Taxonomie als auch Portfoliostrategien und Dekarbonisierung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas liegt besonders viel an der Entwicklung intelligenter, resilienter und zukunftssicherer St\u00e4dte, Sonderwirtschaftszonen und der Schaffung von Rahmenbedingungen f\u00fcr regionale Entwicklung. Er ist Experte f\u00fcr nachhaltige Entwicklung, strategische Planung und Dekarbonisierung. Vor kurzem war er als unabh\u00e4ngiger Berater der Europ\u00e4ischen Kommission f\u00fcr nachhaltige Entwicklung im Rahmen der Belt and Road-Initiative t\u00e4tig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas arbeitet von Berlin und Hamburg aus, ist eingetragener Architekt, Stadt- und Regionalplaner und wurde 2022 in den Bund Deutscher Architektinnen und Architekten (BDA) berufen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas war Mitinitiator der Deutschen Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Nachhaltiges Bauen (DGNB) und ist Mitglied des Pr\u00e4sidiums als auch des Fachausschusses der DGNB. Er ist #BuildingLife Ambassador beim World Green Building Council Europa und hatte 2023 das Ukrainian Green Building Council mitinitiiert. Thomas ist auch Mitglied des Advisory Boards der Allergy Friendly Building Association (AFBA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Er ist DGNB Senior Auditor und Trainer, \u00d6GNI EU-Taxonomy Advisor, BREEAM DE Auditor, LEED GA, WELL Advisory Council Member, ECARF Berater Bau und WiredScore AP. Er ist f\u00fcr einige der h\u00f6chst bewerteten Asset-Zertifizierungen in Deutschland und Europa verantwortlich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas studierte Architektur in Coburg sowie Stadtplanung an der Tongji University in Shanghai und am MIT in Boston. Seinen Master-Abschluss in Urban Design erhielt er mit Auszeichnung von der Harvard University, die ihm auch die Preise f\u00fcr Outstanding Leadership and Academic Excellence Awards verlieh. Au\u00dferdem engagiert er sich im Harvard GSD Alumni Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas unterrichtet an Hochschulen und Konferenzen zur Zukunft von St\u00e4dten, Infrastruktur und Nachhaltigkeit. Er hatte Lehrauftr\u00e4ge an der Hochschule f\u00fcr Technik in Stuttgart, an der TU Berlin in El Gouna, \u00c4gypten und an der Hochschule Coburg. Derzeit unterrichtet er Nachhaltigkeit bei der DGNB und dem Croatia Green Building Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas Arbeit zu den oben genannten Themen wurde in internationalen Zeitschriften, B\u00fcchern und Podcasts ver\u00f6ffentlicht und fungiert h\u00e4ufig als Jurymitglied und Resilienz-Experte f\u00fcr Architektur- und St\u00e4dtebauwettbewerbe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
